Seasonal allergies in the northeast are expected to be hitting us in Connecticut earlier than usual, and with more vengeance due to this past winters extreme cold. With so much melting snow here in Connecticut, a lot of moisture has been produced and is expected to cause more pollen and mold spores to form than in previous years. Mold is one of the most common allergens and this year, we may even see allergic reactions in people who are not normally allergic to mold.
