Is My Sinus Infection Contagious?That’ll depend on the nature of your infection, since sinus infections can be either bacterial or viral. Viral infections are contagious, while bacterial infections are what’s known as infectious. Of course, prevention is the best medicine. Therefore, it is important to make sure you are washing your hands on a regular basis and not touching your face with your hands. If you’re sick, be sure to cover your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing.

What Steps Can I Take to Find Relief From a Cough?One of the main symptoms of a sinus infection is a nagging cough, usually due to postnasal drip. When you cough with a sinus infection, however, you can also make a sore throat feel even worse. Try using saline spray or another type of nasal irrigation to help flush out the irritants that are causing your sinuses to become irritated. That way you can find relief from the postnasal drip that brings about a sore throat and cough.
